Research Disclosures
Read these disclosures with every item of Merval Research content. They are important to the intended use and limitations of the Membership.
1. General and impersonal research
Merval Research provides general, impersonal institutional investment research. It is intended primarily for institutional and professional readers, although consumers may subscribe where permitted.
It is not personalised investment advice, a personal recommendation, a suitability assessment, a trade signal, a model portfolio, a performance claim, a regulated advisory service, tax advice or legal advice.
It is not an offer, invitation, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell, subscribe for or otherwise deal in any investment, instrument or strategy. No advisory, fiduciary or client relationship is created.
2. Separate from The House of Merval
Merval Research is operationally and data-separated from The House of Merval.
Research is not a route, referral, marketing or cross-sell into The House of Merval. Access to Merval Research does not create any relationship with The House of Merval.
3. Sources, methodology and uncertainty
Research may use public information, third-party data, issuer materials, market data, estimates, assumptions, scenarios and professional judgement.
Sources may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, timeliness or suitability.
Methodology, assumptions and limitations relevant to a report will be stated in or with that report where practicable.
Any scenarios, forecasts or forward-looking observations are inherently uncertain, may not occur and must not be treated as expected results.
4. Point-in-time content and corrections
Content speaks only as at its stated date and may become outdated without notice. We have no duty to update content except where we decide that a material correction is appropriate.
If a material factual error is identified, we will correct or annotate the relevant item, preserve a version record where practicable, and notify affected Members through the service or by email where the error is material and contact details are available.

Conflicts can arise in research activities. We maintain a conflicts register and will make report-specific disclosures where a material conflict is identified and disclosure is appropriate.
No statement is made here that conflicts do or do not exist for any report.
Any issuer contact, factual review or access to information does not give an issuer editorial control over our conclusions.
Personal holdings, dealing restrictions and relevant policies will be disclosed report by report only where verified and applicable.
6. Market risk, reliance and decisions
Investments and markets involve risk, including the possible loss of principal.
Past events, illustrative scenarios and historical information do not predict future outcomes.
You are solely responsible for your investment, trading and other decisions and should obtain advice from appropriately qualified advisers where needed.
Do not rely on Membership content as the sole basis for a decision. Independently verify information and assess its relevance to your own circumstances.
7. Third-party content, territories and intellectual property
Third-party links, data, names and trademarks are provided for convenience or identification only and do not imply endorsement. Third-party material may be subject to separate terms.
Content may not be lawful or suitable in every territory. Do not access or rely on it where prohibited.
Membership content is subject to the intellectual-property and use restrictions in the Terms of Membership, including the prohibitions on redistribution, scraping, dataset or artificial-intelligence training, derivative works and unauthorised commercial use.
